When you browse

This site is hosted by Google Firebase Hosting. Delivering and protecting a website involves technical information such as your IP address and request details. We use hosting for our legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure public website. Google describes its hosting processing and safeguards in Firebase’s privacy information.

We have not added advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, account forms or a mailing-list form. Theme previews run in your browser and are not sent to our journal service. Fonts and artwork are served with the website. This website does not request access to your journal, camera or microphone.

When you contact us

If you choose to email us, we receive your email address and the information you send. We use it to answer and handle your enquiry, based on our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence, or to meet applicable legal obligations for rights requests. Please do not send private journal entries or unnecessary health information.

Correspondence is retained as needed to resolve the enquiry and meet relevant legal obligations. Hosting records are managed under Google’s service retention arrangements. Hosting and communications providers may process data internationally; their applicable contractual safeguards govern those services.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion or restriction, object to processing, and request portability where it applies. Contact the privacy address above; we may need proportionate information to verify a request. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data protection authority.
